Top Pot Doughnuts
Its website tells the story, “Began in February 2002 out of a small brick storefront on north Capitol Hill in Seattle, Top Pot paired a vintage aesthetic with a gourmet spin on the old “coffee and doughnuts” routine. “

And that pretty much sums it up. These are great, huge, cake-like doughnuts. The decor is straight out of 1956, it’s always busy, and yes, you’ll eat more than you wanted to.

We just happened to be walking along 5th avenue, saw this place with the crowd inside and out and decided to stop in – and it was just one of those decisions that worked out for the best.

They’ve got locations all over Seattle and it sounds like they’re all busy. These aren’t the ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ donuts of Krispy Kreme – instead, they’re big, tasty, filling, and like little deep-fried cakes.

What else is there to say? Just go.
