Phnom Penh Restaurant – Visit 2 Vancouver, BC

November 13th, 2007 · No Comments

Had the famous chicken wings – super crispy and hot with a crispy light batter that had a tinge of sweetness that contasted well with the lemon pepper dipping sauce. Interesting taste – not the best bits of actual chicken wings I have ever had – lots of wing tips. The marinated butter beef was the highlight – a bed of thinly sliced beef carpaccio (token grilling of the outer rim) mixed with a taste explosion of coriander, lime, soya sauce and topped with a bed of chopped coriander and fried shallots. The luc lac beef fillet on rice was tasty and tender but not memorable. The restaurant was the least busy I have seen it – go on a Tuesday around 6pm. Approximately $30 for two with tea.
