Legendary Noodle House – Part 2 Vancouver, BC

March 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

The menu has changed and the price has gone up a little bit but the quality vs price ratio is still excellent. The garlic pea shoots are still the best around (we always order 2 orders in fact). Tried the seaweed – a generous portion of the dark green goodness (if you like seaweed that is) in a flavorful dressing (a little bit salty and a little bit vinegary). The fried dumplings and xiao long bao (small steamed dumplings that are supposed to contain a little bit of “soup” within them so you should eat them in one mouthful) were average/below average. The noodles as always were quite good. We tend to go for the cut noodles and you can choose your own meat or tofu – this time we tried pork and it was very good. The more spaghetti-like noodles in a black bean sauce with pork were average. I have heard the hot and sour soup is good but have not tried it yet. Overall, cheap, fast and good – meets all the criteria for a return meal.

Approx $35 (yup that’s right) for a meal for 5 people with tea AND tip!
