Aroy-D Thai Restaurant Vancouver, BC

Surprisingly quite attractive inside with a section which even includes the thai cushions (although there is a $15/pp minimum to eat in that area – the outside appearance is deceiving. The restaurant even has free parking underneath. Run by a real Thai family – the requisite picture of the Thai king at the entrance gives it away – it is a great restaurant that is truly suffering due to the Cambie construction. Tried the larp, pineapple fried rice, spicy vegetables, eggplant and basil, fried tofu, spring rolls, ling cod, pad thai. All were very tasty and truly thai, although I would probably pass on the pad thai in the future. Service was friendly and efficient with constant filling of the water glasses.

$120 for dinner for 6 with LOTS of food (we were hungry after a day at Whistler)
