Just read the review in the Globe and Mail and went there for a relaxing Saturday lunch. First of all – great name and we are already pre-disposed to liking the restaurant based on its obvious appreciation for jambon. Nice space in Gastown – a little dark on a sunny day but I am sure great at night. It’s only been open about 2 months. Great bourbon cocktail list created for them with a Saskatchewan flair by the award-winning bartender of the Cascade Room, Nick Divine. We tried the Roughrider – a drink with Canandian bourbon, berries, lime and ginger beer – delicious, more of a dessert than a drink.

There is also a decent wine list by the bottle or glass. The menu mainly consisted of soups, salads and whatnots which were reasonably priced although we didn’t try them. We went right for the charcuterie and cheese plate – you can choose two cheeses and three of the charcuterie (we tried the manchego, roquefort, serrano ham, foie gras and truffle parfait, pate de campagne) which is accompanied with thinly sliced artisan baguette, olives, pear jelly, some sort of berry jelly and salsa verde. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back again maybe next time at night to hear some of the music and have a few too many of those whiskey-based drinks.

Charcuterie and cheese plate, glass of wine, bourbon cocktail $42 including tip.
