Cioppino's Great service. Quiet intimate setting in the back wine room filled with their huge stock of wine. Gratious and accommodating service. They can do a tasting menu for you depending on what you would like to spend. We ate for 3 hours straight pretty much until we were stuffed full then the chef Christian finally et us off the hook. Appetizers included baby zuchinni, fried zuchinni blossoms, followed by fresh “square spaghetti, risotto, halibut (not our favorite fish), lamb, pork tenderloin, dessert of custard filled semolina ravioli, and lemon cheesecake. Great wine suggestions from our waiter who suggested half a bottle of white (sancerre)and half a bottle of red (a great super tuscan). The waiter was both knowledgeable in food and wine and after letting the super tuscan breathe for a while he brought over the sommelier who then confirmed his suspicion that the wine was madeirized (the wine becomes sweet like Madeira due to too much light exposure) . The sommelier actually let us smell both bottles so that we could tell the difference. Favorite – fried zuchinni blossoms, the fresh pasta, and the the super tuscan wine. Overall – great service and atmosphere. The staff really know how tyo make customers feel special. Solid food – nothing “wow” but all very good. The whole package together made it a great experience.
