Tomo Sushi To Go – Nanaimo, BC

September 6th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Located in a strip mall (what isn’t a strip mall in Nanaimo?) by the hospital, the restaurant is owned and run by a Japanese chef. There is pre-made food which you can grab or you can order take-out to go, which is the better option if you can wait a few minutes. There are also a few (maybe 2) dine-in tables and a small eating counter, but it is very basic since really this place is “To Go”. I tried the victoria roll and unagi sushi- decent japanese food at a reasonable price. Most rolls range from $250 – $5.00 with individual sushi from $1.00 to $2.50 per piece.

Sam, the chef, is Korean. He makes the best sushi I’ve found in Nanaimo – especially take out; they really try hard to present a very lovely meal to go!

Thanks for the review. Another restaurant to try and possibly add to our list of favourites.
