Dragon View Restaurant has replaced Wah Wing Seafood Restaurant although interestingly the restaurant bill still shows up under the old name. The “new” restaurant is more upscale and modern-looking – presumably to attract the banquet crowd. The dim sum is on the higher end of the price scale but not overly expensive particularly since most of the dishes are also on the larger side (we paid $58 including tip and tea for 10 dishes – enough to feed at least 4 or 5 people).
Our favorite dishes were any of the dumplings and the deep-fried chinese donut wrapped in rice noodle -sounds weird but tastes delicious. The pea shoots (small size) came in a very generous serving although I felt they were a little tough. The egg tarts at the end were warm with a nice flaky crust. The restaurant has also kept up the tradition of servers walking around with trays of huge deep fried sesame balls which are promptly cut up and served to any willing takers.
A bonus is that usually you do not have to wait long for a table. There is an english menu and some staff do speak english. Service is fast and efficient – as expected in most asian restaurants. Parking can be tight in the lot but there is ample street parking too.
