Yes, we’ve been here before, but this is totally one of our favourite ‘cheap eats’ places in Toronto. It has all the ambiance of an anatomy lab – but who cares – it has some of the best Chinese vegetarian food that I’ve had in Toronto.

Their mock duck (big pic, above) – tastes nothing like duck, but dip it in sriracha sauce and it’s one of the best tofu products that I’ve ever had. Their vegetarian delight is a mix of perfectly-cooked vegetables, heavy on the fungus. And the hot and sour soup – while not the best I’ve had in Toronto, definitely won’t set you wrong.

Come here once, and you’ll be hooked.

Verdict: excellent veg cheap eats, better for take-out than eat-in. Try the mock duck (it needs sriracha sauce though).
