Saturday am – out for Dim Sum – let’s try a new place. A has been here before and she likes how it has convenient parking in a parkade ($1) and is right across the street from Sun Yat Sen gardens.

Inside, this place is cavernous – you could have a wedding for 500 here; the giant hanging-down screen in the restaurant has a black-and-white CCTV video on it from the reception desk – presumably so you can see any late guests for your party arrive? I assume this isn’t on during banquets – but even for Saturday am dim sum – it’s a bit odd.

But how is the food? Well – people come around quite often with the carts – which is nice. No waiting to get what you want. The dim sum is tasty – I wasn’t a fan of the lo bak gao, but everything else was pretty much run-of-the-mill Vancouver dim sum.

The restaurant is so big that it certainly didn’t feel crowded, the tables were large, and it wasn’t too expensive. The service was fast, and the dim sum was about the same as everywhere else. Getting there was easy and parking was a cinch. What more would I want from a dim sum place in Vancouver?
