At night, in Trastevere, you could never be faulted for just choosing any restaurant and going inside – the choice of places to eat is somewhat overwhelming. But with a little research, you can find places like Dar Poeta, where the ambiance is good, the service is friendly and fast, and the food is great. […]

Antico Forno Roscioli – Rome, Italy

September 24th, 2010 · No Comments

Look – it’s easy to find good pizza in Rome. But this was exceptionally good pizza. Roscioli is both a bakery and a very high-end food store/restaurant located near Campo de’ Fiori. November 6th, 2009 · No Comments

Pizzeria Uno

November 30th, 2007 · No Comments

T: Finally, this was the deep-dish experience that I was looking for. Another friend now living in Chicago agreed to hit this place up for lunch and we made it there today. They were busy, so we pre-ordered a small “Numero Uno” deep-dish (sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms and our unique chunky tomato sauce; topped […]

Gino’s East Pizza

November 27th, 2007 · No Comments

D: A venerable Chicago institution which had to move into a larger space due to its popularity although they moved many of the old graffiti-covered walls and booths to add to the atmosphere. Prepare to wait for the food since it takes approximately 45 minutes to cook the classic deep dish pizza once you order […]
